It's a great idea to create a platform. The question is how you choose the datas you collect. Do you have a very open and visionary structure?

Networks of Design is the 2008 annual conference of the Design History Society, which each year focuses on a different theme (see the Design History Society web site) and aims to bring together current research min the field, and facilitate debate and exchange. The conference theme is necessarily broad and inclusive and this year, taking Bruno Latour's work on Actor Network Theory as a starting point, aims to explore the networks of interconnectivity that surround and inform design (including visual and material culture) and its related histories and theories. Papers are invited on five themes: Networks of People, Texts, Technology, Things and Ideas, and we encourage the submission of panels (of not more than three papers) and individual papers. We are also exploring running more informal panels debating a particular theme (for instance the relationship between theory and practice, or networks of sustainability in design, or networks of gender, to name but a few) and would welcome suggestions from anyone interested in running/being involved in one of these.
