First of all, I would like to thank everybody who contributed so bravely to this discussion throughout a long day and several time zones. You were awesome!
In this thread, I encourage you to write your personal concluding statement - what do you take away from today's debate? Which aspects did you find most important and meaningful? What new questions came to your mind?
hi Katharina, this was a
hi Katharina,
this was a good idea, lots of rich discussion.
I hopw to go back through these comments when I'm less exhausted, and hope to follow up on comments that I could not respond to.
I suspect others might do the same, would you like us to do this within the relevent thread, or do you want to capture it another way?
Bye everyone!
bests,
Tobie
Bye too
Just to say I have to go now too, sorry everyone. Discussion was really great and hope it continues in some form.
all the best
Alex
Thanks a lot!
really hope to see a continuation as well. Will be AFK* to borrow a sentence from pirate bay activists (away from keyboard)
Follow-up thoughts
hey Tobie,
yes, this was a long day... I suggest you add your comment to the thread where it fits in best. The discussion will remain online. Or you can open a new thread if you want to develop a thought further and hope for more replies.
Personally, I felt that already in the first session, there was an overwhelming variety of aspect that we could hardly address during that short time. For the different practices that derive from the 'original' critical design, there might be new and more precise terms in the future, probably taking up some concepts that existed before. One interesting thing to look at might be the different layers of adaption: from a method to a philosophical perspective. Right now, there just seem to be too many different things called Critical Design.
Bye everyone!
Thanks a lot Katharina for arranging this session! I think we got around some really interesting and relevant discussions during the day. Like Tobie just mentioned I hope there will be some way to follow up and continue the various threats and discussions.
Thanks to all, and have a nice weekend!
-Tau

Thank you, and yes, hope we can pick this up again. Have a good weekend.
So long and thanks for all the debate
Hi everyone,
I too found the discussion really interesting and insightful (even if I went a little quiet in the last session). Thanks Katharina for organising.
Like Tobie, Tau and others I’ll revisit the threads later to inform my own further enquiries.
I wonder if a reading list of the various sources we all cited, with v. short summaries, would be helpful? (Within this, are there some English versions of Ramia’s papers available?)
Bye everyone, and have a great weekend! (from Yorkshire in the UK, where currently the sun is shining)
Simon
