There are several reasons why going to NORDES conferences pays off. First: The cozy atmosphere (feels like a huge family meeting). Second: The preference in theories and role models (very high wicked-problem, reflection-in-action, actor-networks affinity). Conference Report: DesignInquiry Montréal

At the beginning of May I had the chance to participate in the DesignInquiry conference in Montréal. Although one could say that conference would be a wrong term to describe this gathering. The basic idea of it, according to its initiators, is to not be a conference, but rather consist of the spaces in-between, the breaks, hallway talks and dinner discussions that are the most intriguing parts of any regular conference. [more...]

Mainly based on 7 basic principles it is worth questioning how influential the concept is today and which impacts it has for today´s design community.
